I made this video in Frankfurt Germany in 2012. I’m bringing it back because the militarization of local constabularies is new as an issue, but in practice, not new at all. 

These cops were brought in to Frankfurt from all over Germany for an Occupy march. The state (taxpayers) paid plenty to transport, equip, feed and house them all for the weekend. 

While taping, I got a strange feeling about these cops. I started to sense a kind of sexual tension between them and some fetish vibes. When I mentioned this to local people they basically responded with, “Did you just figure that out?”

I think my music choice was appropriate. 

Monster" is derived from the Latin noun monstrum, "divine portent," itself formed on the root of the verb monere, "to warn."
